Dalong Biotech represented Taichung City at the Central Taiwan SBIR Joint Exhibition, held on 2026/10/3 at the Wave House in Taitung. The exhibition brought together 41 companies from nine counties and cities in central Taiwan to present projects developed under Taiwan’s Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) program, which supports R&D at small and medium-sized enterprises. At the exhibition, Dalong Biotech presented kombucha as an application that brings together local produce and fermentation technology, highlighting its practical approach to biotech R&D and sustainable development.

Dalong Biotech’s kombucha was developed with Taichung’s signature local fruits such as grapes, citrus, and pineapples, combined with fermentation technology and built on a base of local herbs such as cassia seed. By integrating raw materials and technology, we continue to explore the potential of local ingredients, creating more diverse options for kombucha development while giving Taichung’s specialty produce new value beyond conventional processing.

Beyond R&D, Dalong Biotech is also attentive to raw material sourcing and environmental sustainability. By using local produce, we are exploring new models of collaboration between agriculture and the biotech industry, and working toward reducing carbon emissions associated with transportation and cold-chain storage, so that product innovation also honors the value of local resources.

The exhibition gave Dalong Biotech an opportunity to share its R&D results and expand industry exchanges. Moving forward, we will continue refining our fermentation technology and kombucha product development, deepening the innovative use of local produce to offer our partners distinctive product choices grounded in sustainability.
