2019 Annual Meeting of Mycological Society ROC & Conference on Mycological Research
November 2nd, The Annual Meeting of Mycological Society ROC & Conference on Mycological Research was held and end up with enthusiastic participation from universities and research institutions in Taiwan. In this seminar, Dayeh University and Dalong Biotechnology co-published the research on the topic of” Effect of two-fedbatch culture and constant pH on the production of extracellular polysaccharides from immobilized Cordyceps militaris” has received the attention and recognition of professionals from all walks of life.
A polysaccharide is a large molecule made of smaller monosaccharides. The properties of the polysaccharide are highly depended on its structure that we could find polysaccharides with different functions in natural plants, such as cellulose, polysaccharides, pectin, etc. In other terms, the polysaccharide has a huge usage on supplements due to its great response against free radicals. As results, polysaccharides can reduce oxidative damage and efficiently maintain our body physiological function.
The Dean of technical, Dr Zhao said: " We’re happy to share this great news on successfully increased the production of extracellular polysaccharides from Cordyceps militaris with big support from Professor Xu. of Dayeh University and we expect to bring you better Cordyceps shortly".
